‘Self-exclusion’ is a useful and successful tool in creating a barrier between the patron and their gambling behaviour. The scheme is voluntary and a patron can ‘ban’ themselves from just the gaming room or the entire venue.
There are various ways that a patron can self-exclude as shown below
Another form of self-exclusion is venue initiated self exclusion. This decision is made by a management of the venue, but details a Gaming Host records in the incident register assists in this process. Further details about this can be found with your Duty Manager.
If a patron asks to be excluded from the venue, ask you manager to assist them through the process (which includes completing a form and having a photo taken to be included in your ‘Self Exclusion’ folder
